I grew up as a musician in Clarksville, TN, and back then, Mary’s Music was the heart and soul of the local music scene. It was more than just a store — it was a gathering place, a launchpad for dreams, and a second home for so many of us. I bought my first Gibson guitar and Marshall stack right there, moments that shaped my journey as a musician.
So when I recently came through town from Seattle, I knew I had to stop by. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was flooded with nostalgia — and my spirits soared. It genuinely felt like coming home.
While the current inventory of guitars and amps seemed lighter than I remembered, the warm, welcoming energy of the staff was exactly as it used to be. I had a great conversation about the current live music scene in Clarksville, and we shared stories from back in the day — a real trip down memory lane.
